tithe is not ours; it is God's, and we are just giving back what is His in the first place. THE FOUNDATION OF THE TITHE IS THAT IT IS ALREADY GOD'S WHAT TITHING IS NOT: Tithing is not a means to earn salvation; only faith in Jesus Christ can offer that (John 3:16, Galatians 2:16, Ephesians 2:8). Tithing is no longer a legal requirement from God The power of tithing is outlined in The WORD of God. There are promises in His Word reserved for those who act on it through tithing. Yet, most Christians have not learnt the importance of tithing & how to claim their tithers rights! Malachi 3:10-11 is clear about what a tither can expect to receive from the Lord!

Updated June 15, 2023. Tithe is a common word we find in Scripture and used among Christians even today. It refers to the act of giving back to God a portion of one's financial gain or money earned. Yet for some, the idea of tithing is confusing and unclear. Many believers wonder if tithing is something that God expects them to do.

Giving in the form of tithes and offerings is an important part of Christianity. Tithing is frequently mentioned in the Bible, like when Moses said, "From what you have, take an offering for the Lord. Everyone who is willing is to bring to the Lord an offering of gold, silver and bronze." (Exodus 35:5)
The basic tithe, supporting the work of ministry, remains, even while ceremonial aspects fall away. Yet the tithe is a minimum; Christians are always to give to the poor and support other works that extend God's kingdom (cf. 2 Cor. 8-9). The basic tithe is to be given to the church, to support its work and mission, as seen in Malachi 3.
